About Billy Warren Books

This is what it's all about at Billy Warren Books, an Indy Imprint. I'm not saying Indy books are better than Big Publishing House releases, but they are different. The primary difference is the my books are not developed by a marketing committee with a primary focus on sellability. For better or worse, everything right and wrong with my books is my doing. Learning from the mistakes of others has never been easy for my novel’s characters or me.

The goals of my historical literary fictions are to tell an interesting story; perhaps share a mid-20th century South Brooklyn Polish American experience; entertain with interesting plots and characters; and enlighten as to how knowledge of our past, provides us the basis to assess our present. 

Whether you obtain your books through bookstores, online, or libraries, please consider including independent and self-publishing authors in your readings. Your literary experience will be broadened.

Concerning the future, Fathers and Sons and Other Village Idiots, was my debut novel. It was meant to be an inspirational literary work. A spin-off, Beyond Good and Evil and Murder, is just what it sounds like--a murder mystery whodunit. It is scheduled for release in 2026.
